Basically Impressionists were really interested in light and movement, so I guess quite a few of them dealt with seasons. Probably your safest bet would be Claude Monet, who painted many autumn pictures, and sometimes painted the same theme over and over again during different times of the day and different times of the year.

Here is one famous painting of his, Autumn at Argenteuil from 1873:

The impressionists were enthralled by the outdoors and did most of their paintings outdoors. Therefore if you look at the works of Cezanne, Pisarro, Monet, Renoir you are sure to find autumnal scenes and usually with people in the foreground.

I have keen interest to put my paintings on exhibition at different countries and put on auction sale too.

Is there anyone who can guide me, where to apply for Awards on paintings, since I have little knowledge to be exposed world-wide. Appreciate all your copoperation in advance.

" This ain't no sissy hat"  Cool

 artists with great hats

Hi,

pretty much any of the impressionists would have done an autuminal scene sooner or later, Iwould go with  Pierre Auguste Renoir, he seemed to lean more toward an autum colored pallete most of the time and  to me most of his work seems to give me the feeling of that time of season most often ... even the girls bathing with no other indication of out side weather  always gave me the (impression) of looming overcast autumesque atmosphere in the room, and I have seen some paintings of his when the trees and fields are obviously autum.

but never having been to that part of europe, that just might be a typical not so sunny day....well, wouldn't that be the great mystery of life imitaing art. LOL

I hope this was helpful.

as  always,
