Does lactic acid cause arthritis?

I have looked at numerous web sites, and have not found any reference to a connection between lactic acid causing arthritis. Please keep in mind that I do not have a medical background, so if you want a professional answer, I would ask your doctor.

Lactic acid does not cause arthritis. Abnormal levels of lactic acid can be a sign of liver disease, diabetes, shock, tissue ischemia (tissue death) or carbon monoxide poisoning. Hope this helps!
