What color should I use to color my white helmet? I am looking for something I can use to make cool designs and that will be water resistant.

It's really hard to make a paint effect on a helmet that will not fade or scrape down and will look professional and cool. In order to do a really really good job, the paint has to be either burnt in a high temprature oven or covered in some pint of protective layer.

A way more simple way to redecorate a helmet is using duct tape. like those:

We got the black and white checkers  tape a few months ago and decorated our helmets with they, it still looks as great as the day we put it on.

Also for safety while riding at night: glow in the dark tape!

Well, the thing about painting it yourself is that a lot of the different modification a paint job require like sanding or using certain paint \ paint remover might damage the helmet and make it less protective then it's supposed to be.

From what I  know, the only sure way to get a serious long lasting impressive effect is to use airbrush and then bake the helmet in a special oven - both stages take a lot of experience and the equipment is pretty expensive.

We used a small stencil and sprayed a cool bison on Ned's helmet. It came out pretty cool though the paint bleed a little bit, also, it'll be a problem if you want to cover large areas because of the shape of the helmet a large stencil would have to be reshaped and moved and it probably wouldn't look so well.

Ned's helmet was sprayed a months and a half ago, and still look great.

I think the best option would be to use a decal sticker to decorate the helmet, they came in a million designs, very easy to use and a lot cheaper then a costume made paint job

Look at those!

Hi,

To  color your white helmet I must suggest that you should visit  Leatt brace, Motorcycles Accessories where you will get attractive designs for your helmet and can make your helmet attractive.

Avoid dark colors, especially black if you wanna keep using it in the sun. Otherwise your head will fry.

Thanks for the ideas but I think making interesting designs with the tape is difficult! What kind of protective layer you think I need?

Hello, I am Janny. I love shoes, I love garments, handbags and fashion accessories. And I love OEM orders even more!! To be honest, I love selling!

As far as I know, there is some kind of fabric has the specialty of water resistance. Perhaps you could try at coating on your helmets.
