What size led should i use dot illuminate a 24x36 picture frame? 3mm or 5mm?

I would choose the smaller LED's, they should be less expensive and provide very similar light out put. You could use more of them or less, depending upon the effect that you desire. I would also imagine that the shape or contours of your picture frame will influence your design criteria as well.
