No appreciation

I met a guy who was hiv positive.  Others didn't want to have anything to do with him when they found out he was infected with the monster.  I took him into my life and my home.  He stole from me and my children, cheated on me, told malicious lies constantly..I want to try to understand why would someone do another person like that who only tried to love and care about them?

My dear Sheila, I don't think his HIV has anything to do with all of those horrible things that he did to you. He sounds like a person that you really don't need in your life. Sometimes when people hurt us it doesn't have anything to do with us but rather them. I don't know his story or why he hurt you so much but you need to let go and move on. You deserve positive things in your life and he sounds like bad news.

"They will make war against the Lamb, but the lamb will overcome them because he is Lord of lords and King of kings- and with him will be his called, chosen and faithful followers." Revelations 17

There may not be any excuses for why this guy treated you and your Family so badly..  maybe he is simply a creep and everyone knew it except you.  This may not be of any consolation to you, or maybe it will, but one of the symptoms of advanced stages of HIV is deterioration of the brain cells!  Honestly!  It's almost like we find in animals infected with rabes!  Certain people infected with the AIDS Virus (first) experience brain cell deteration.. they lose control of their natural healthy abilities of common sense, reasoning and judgement, they become wild and hateful, and often completely unpredictable.  There are stories of people with AIDS in big cities like New York who spit at people walking by, on purpose!..chase people down and try to stab them with infected needles.. because they basically are going insane!  It's just something for you to think about when your feeling down and confused about what this guy did to you, and why.  It may not have a single thing to do with you!  You can look up Symptoms of AIDS for yourself, and you will find what I am talking about.

You sound like a really cool person. Don't let this bizarre situation ruin your personality.  Just remember that people with AIDS are very sick people, they are dying.  It's so sad, I know, and you took a big risk by inviting him into your home and exposing him to you and your Children.  I can't tell you how to live, no one can, but I have to say this.. unless you're a Nurse or a Doctor, and you know all there is to know about the AIDS Virus.. don't ever take the CHANCE that you and/or your children won't get AIDS from a carrier, especially one you hardly know who is living in your house!... it's a contagious deadly disease,  and the death is lingering and excruciating.. and no one is exempt!   Sorry to lecture, but you did reach out.   Take good care of yourself and your Family.

35 thumbs up

Sheila,

I am so sorry that this louse infected your family with his poison.  Not with HIV, but with the poison that dishonesty and deception leave behind.

I want you to know that there are still good people out there who are hurting, people who need help and who would appreciate it.  Get with your local Salvation Army, Food Bank, Hospice, etc., and get involved with an outreach program that your kids can participate in.  Something that you all can do together, that you can see the people's faces who you help(not for your sake, for your kids').  This will help them heal and not be bitter.

No, not everyone is good.  But not everyone is bad, either.  You can get healing from within, and you can help at the same time.

I wish you the best,

Saremks
