Did AOL remove the abiltiy to check whether email i have sent to fellow AOL addresses have been read? I canno locate the staus button anymore or htr retrn receipt button on my email page. Does anyone know what happened?
The status feature was removed from webmail with the most recent release. It is still available if you are using AOL 9 or AOL Desktop software. You can read more about this and other changes on the AOL Mail Blogunder the heading Performance.

AOL removed this feature.
They removed the feature under the guise of performance. I highly doubt it, though. It's interested as AOL transitions into a Web-only portal, they want people using the legacy AOL software to check mail status.
The feature is back. Just go to http://webmail.aol.com. It's back within the action menu.
