Anyone know what this is? I have an Antique French Needlepoint that is in a oval carved wooden Frame. Most of the detail is at the top of the frame and at the bottom with littke detail on the sides. Measurements of this piece are approx. 24"x20". A man and a woman dressed in 17th century style clothing are standing in front of a well and he is handing her a flower. He is looking at her and she is looking away towards the ground. He is dressed in some type of military attire and he has a mustache. There are trees in the background and a castle with 5 birds flying over. The sky is blue with white puffy clouds and there is one tree that obstruct part of the view of the castle. Just to the left of her feet there is a rake lying on the ground. Beside her in the background there is a long large tree limb laying on the ground. To the right of the man there are birds that looks like chickens pecking on the ground (5 small ones and one large one). The woman is holding a rope to the well. Her dress is solid colors, kinda off white and mauve and it's about a foot below the knees. Her ankles are crossed and her shoes are brownish gold in color. The man has some sort of hat on that looks like a feather coming out of it, his uniform has mauve colored tassels on the shoulders and the color of his jacket is off white and brown/gold with 2 rows of buttons going down over each breast. You can see 6 buttons on each side. Over his chest there is an off white criss cross fabric or something. You can see a sword sticking out from behind on the right side. His pants stop and the knees with white knee high boots and his feet are crossed. I would like to know about this item because it has been in my family for years. I know my description could be much better but and I apologize but I did the best I could do!
