antivirus for lap tops...what is the best one that wont slow down my computer
I would recommend Avast or AVG.

For me, Firefox and most everything else got much slower after I installed AVG free. Pentium 4, 3G, 512 RAM, WinXPH SP2. This is a Dell Desktop with Roadrunner. I suspect that you would have the same results with a laptop.
