What is your favorite Bible study method to use?
My favorite method is Osmosis.
Tell it like it is.
I prefer to pick a book and stay with it for a month or so, reading and rereading, and going to its references and looking at other sources on the book.
The search for people who can answer your question continues for as long as needed - until you find the answer you were looking for.
When an answer is posted by someone who was invited (byYedda or by yourself) to answer your question, their answer is marked with a yellow "invited by Yedda".

Of course, the more helpful your answers are, the more likely you are to be invited to future questions...
I always liked to use a Webster's dictionary, a Bible Dictionary, and a Strong's Concordance. Haley's Bible Handbook is good. The American Standard Bible is a good go along with the King James Version, using it for clarification and definition. Have a special notebook just for your Bible studies, and have plenty of pens or pencils. Remember, it's a good idea to know the history of the time period you are studying. Run references and don't be afraid to mark in your Bible. Underline pertinent passages, make notes in the margins. And, of course, pray before each study.
How does that method work? I take it to mean, you absorb the teaching of the bible. Please tell me how you do it because I find the Bible to be a book of such dept, I am lost by much of it.
A great method that you can use is the DAILY BREAD METHOD . You can get instructions by visiting http://www.learntostudythebible.com .
Andy Deane
Bible Study Fellowship (BSF) wonderful way to learn, hear other opinions, share your thoughts, an indepth bible study.
Start with the new testament and as you grow mature in your study of the bible begin reading the old testament. As you start in the old testament, start with proverbs, psalms, and Ecclesiastes, then work your way to understanding the females of the bible, then continue with Solomon and Issiah, afterwards, you can start developing an understanding of our history , genesis, exodus Deuteronomy and the likes. Learn about the bible war heroes and I truly feel you will have developed good study habits to go on with your search for an understanding of the bible. As you begin your study, ask God for edification daily and you will do well.
I hope this was helpful
Hello,
