Where are the interesting parts in the

Amy Jacobson video? It's over 6 minutes long and I didn't survive the second minute. Did I miss anything?

Well at about the fourth minute we see some kids (pixelized) going in and out, and she takes care of them.

And there are these two dudes...

Not a thriller in my book, and I seriously don't get it

My latest fad diet: the Apple-a-Day Plan!

Maybe CBS 2 just wanted to show this reporter in a bikini for a few minutes.  In a world where Paris Hilton is often the top story, a woman in a bikini might qualify as news.

If this is the best a "network news organization" can find to report as news, it's no wonder their loosing ground..  And to fire Amy over this is utterly ridiculous..  Obviously there are some internal politics at play within the organization that are the real reason she got fired..  I could understand if her husband was upset, but her boss..  Well, I would have to question his motives!!  Perhaps she turned down one of his invitations..

I don't see anything questionable about her behavior especially in light of the fact that she is a reporter and getting to know someone on a friendly basis certainly could lead to an inside tip if there is one to be had..

As far as danger to her or her children, since her husband knew where she was and these guys knew it, they were certainly going to be on their best behavior in view of the other suspicions floating around..

Appreciate the positive things in life.  Mock everything else.

Here, read this: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Amy_jacobsen

For those who don't want to read the article, Amy Jacobsen is at the home of Craig Stebic, husband of missing woman Lisa Stebic.  Amy was covering the story.  Being a journalist, hanging out with the person whose story she's covering is a severe conflict of interest.  It's also slightly suspect, considering the issue of the missing wife.

Glad to see her go! Now I could finally watch channel 5 news! She was a joke of a reporter! Google Amy Jacobson and Ricky Quick and you'll see her shoving her mike in his face saying why did u kidnapp buddy myers, later on it turned out he didn't kidnapp buddy myers. She should've been sued over that. She was just a pretty blond that channel 5 exploited, the tape is evidence of her "journalistic" practices. Put on a bikini, that'll get u the scoop! I remember I was watching channel 5 news and she was covering a story that required her to be outside during the winter and she was wearing this ridiculous white fur hat that circled her head, looked like it belonged on someone in Russia, and a white fur coat and I think she was covering a story in Englewood, I haven't laughed so hard during a news story. Hard to take someone serious after that!

Kandy0309: I used to live in Englewood and I knew people who were on Welfare and spent their money to buy $175 gym shoes. What is wrong with Amy Jacobson staying warm when she has to work outside? Is the problem that she is wealthy or has bought an expensive-LOOKING hat and coat? You, of course, have no idea how much the coat/hat cost, but even if they were expensive, so what? Amy Jacobson works hard for her money. My job doesn't require me to stand outside in the dead of winter and I am grateful for it. It's lucky for Amy Jacobson that she had a warm coat and hat on a cold night when she had to stand outside for several hours -- getting the story, interviewing people, filming parts of her story that wouldn't be a live-feed, etc.. Is your problem that a white woman shouldn't have a warm coat and hat? Or a Jewish woman shouldn't have a warm coat and hat? I don't understand your point. Lots of journalists are very wealthy and physically comfortable, it doesn't mean they aren't good journalists. Your comments strike me as classist, at best. In my book, there is no difference between classism and racism -- they are both about the stupidity of judging people based on appearance instead of substance.
