"How long will you hesitate"1Kings, 18:21

A:

We, as Americans, need to go the route lain out by the founding fathers. Unfortunately, this means allowing those of that sort of twisted thinking the freedom of expressing themselves. We need to teach our children, and all others that we can-the founding principles of this nation. They're what has made it the haven of liberty and freedom that it's been. Obama and his kind are of the Marxist philosophy, and due to that, we need to be prepared to make a stand at any time. We have the same right of free speech that they have. The only difference is, we have the light of the truth on our side as well. I'm a Christian, yet I don't force anyone to follow the dictates of my conscience. But as a parent, I shouldn't allow anyone else to enforce things upon my children that go outside the bounds of what's really right and wrong. Obama and his minions will find out what seeds they've genuinely sown at the next election. If they try to impinge on any of our God given rights, they're opening a door they won't be able to close......................

How about if you have a girl in grade school and she sees ads in stores and on tv that encourage her to be fashion conscious and wear lipstick and makeup?

Should those ads and products be discouraged?  I am not sure how to do it, but I think so.  Children should be focused on schoolwork and learning about the world, not on competing to look fashionable.

I agree, but the ones selling those products wouldn't.  There are a lot of influences on kids, and adults as well, that are best eliminated.  But some have the freedom to disagree, and I guess I have the freedom to teach my kids about those sorts of things, and hopefully set a good enough example that they'll be able to follow.  We can't raise our children pure unfortunately, but we can try to instill the wisdom within them that will make it easier for them to think for themselves, and not need someone else to do all their thinking for them.
