Make alarm turn on with device powered off

I am used to being able to power down the device at night. Then have device turn on and sound alarm at the time alarm is set.  No late night awakenings from phone calls, text messages, or emails.  I am an ex-bberry user and novice with this new device (2 days). Honestly, I am a novice in general.  I was trying to see if there was a way to create a profile to switch to that would silence everything and still keep phone power on for alarm.

I apologize if this has a real obvious solution.  Maybe I am tired!
