What age does sex start going down hill for men?

My boyfriend is an idiot...We started dated about 2 1/2 years ago...Sex was great for the first few months...then it gradually starting going down hill from there...for the past year..he has been unable to last more than 5 minutes!..and over the last 6 months we've had sex about 4-5...He's 55 and I am 47....Needless to say, I started dating a 38 year old about a year ago and spend time with him when I can...I am getting rid of my 55 year old boyfreind in 2008...however, for peace of mind...Is this a common problem for men when they reach this age?

i don't know if it's common, but i do know men are typically lazy, and suck in bed in general....ask any woman.

except me, of course, i have spent a life time learning the needs and wants of my wife, as well as girlfriends, and have remained sexually active , and i'm 52...sex is what one makes of it.
