A lot of things get better as you get older, especially if you keep growing in your mind. If you do it right, you become more experienced and confident, more sophisticated and educated. You gain more freedom, intellectually and financially. Everything generally becomes easier and the world seems more predictable. With maturity should come more control of your emotions and body.
Of course, this doesn't apply to everybody. Some people are trapped in the mistakes of their youth and don't get to experience as much growth. Some people waste themselves in dissipation, either physical or spiritual, and end up in sad shape.
It seems to be largely a matter of choice, not circumstances. The rich and famous can fritter away their lives just as the poorest can build themselves a very meaningful life.
You weren't asking for advice, but I'll offer some anyways. Keep asking questions. The more you learn about life from people who have lived it, the better able you will be to avoid the worst of the mistakes others make.
