The advantages of shaving soap

What are the advantages, if any, of using a shaving soap (instead of shaving cream) for wet shaving?

Love is the battery of life....

Hi,

Using shaving soap cause you to massage your face [since you have to use a brush] ( massage is good for blood flow) and the foam is a bit more uniform (in size).  Not much more.
Best regards,

In my day job I write about Blood Pressure Treatment and treat those who suffer from blood pressure problems. Low blood pressure is a particular interest and I'm often asked about how to lower cholesterol levels. A healthy heart is becoming a huge focus for many of us nowadays. Improving your blood pressure control and thus the health of your heart and circulation system is really important. My most recent online "adventure" is to start a facility for people to ask me my opinion and to provide high quality health information by answering medical questions online.

I also have a special interest in the problem of feeling Tired All the Time and in those who suffer from chronic fatigue or lethargy. This seems to tie in also to skin care issues or skin treatment problems and suggestions. Tiredness and fatigue can lead to major problems for many individuals in modern society and the way that this can affect all areas of general health can be quite invasive in terms of daily life and coping skills.

My work with footballers and athletes leads to a focus on Painful Shoulder conditions and on the problems associated with frozen shoulder or whiplash injuryRotator cuff injury causes problems for many of my patients.

When not working I daydream about my next amazing european vacation trip  My favorite European cities include Paris and Barcelona and my next blog project will be to write about the best way to spend a night in Paris and how to find an apartment in Barcelona. I just love European travel in all its forms.

I think its all just personal preference - although it can depend a bit on your skin type and on the type of razor you use.

I've gone over to using a shaving oil and find that it works really well - but you need a razor that allows the water to run through it front to back or the blades get all gunked up with oil and hair.

Try out different options - different razors, soap, creme, gel combinations and see what works best for you

Skin Care 101 for Men. Advice on shaving, skin care, acne, razor bumps, pubic hair shaving, anti-aging for men and more. The best men's skin care products and reviews.

It is a matter of preference and also on what type of skin you have. Make sure that if you are using soap, it is shaving soap and for what skin type you have, especially if you have sensitive skin.

There is a down side to soap, if you are looking to shape your beard into say a goat-tee, doing so with so is more difficult since it is harder to see where you are shaving.

That is why many shaving creams are now "Invisible" so you can see where you shave. Also shaving creams also act as moisturizers for your skin and are better to reduce razor burn, bumps and acne as well. For the "invisible" shaving creams I am talking about read this review on Bold for Men and our coming soon review on Ultra Shave.

And of course for visit our site for more general information on Shaving for Men

Shaving cream in the can doesn't have much water, which water makes shaving easier. Using a good quality shaving soap and a brush(badger is the best) is better, for it brings more water to the shaving area.
