Adult teeth can get loose from many different causes, and usually they do not grow back (unlike a few other animals who grow new teeth all their lives).

Adult teeth do get loose and fall out mainly because of deep pockets surrounding the tooth that are caused by decay and problems with the gums. A tooth that loosens and falls out will not be replaced except by implants or false teeth. That is why it is important to take care of your teeth by cleaning by a dental technician and regular dentist examinations.
