hmmm, tough one, only because any renovations you do to a kitchen basically adds more value to the house than the cost of the reno's themselves. cost effective ways would be new paint, more storage, new window hangings, new hardware on the cabinets, these are relatively inexpensive ways to increase the value without destructing anything

the best bang for the buck is new countertops as long as cabinet are in good shape
