I was in an accident 2 weeks ago today, a prisoner on work release (don't have all the details yet) who was doing drugs ran a stop light, sent me over a median to oncoming traffic, car is totaled. I've settled on the car, and I am now upside down, the finance company is already asking for my car payment! The insurance wants to stop providing me my rental.. I don't understand all of this, why is this happening? I'm in good standing with the bank, yet they call me today asking for my payment!!!

Seems like there's no other solutions than suing your Insurance for the money... That's the only way out, as I see it. I can understand why the finance company demands the money, but for that case exactly your car is insured.

You need to hire a good injury and accident attorney right away. Many will work for you for no money down but they will receive 25 to 33 per cent of your settlement.

Good luck and best wishes to you.

What goes around comes around

Hi,

It seems to me you're in the right. your insurance company should definitely pick up the bill and perhaps hiring a good lawyer would move things faster.

I would first meet with the insurance company and see if they have all the details. Maybe this is all a mix up. If they still don't want to pay, your lawyer will figure things out for you. Don't worry, it'll work out in the end.
