I have a 1996 grand voyeger van. The abs light ...

I have a 1996 grand voyeger van.  The abs light comes on and off while driving.  Can van still be driven?  Also noticed a grinding noise while making left hand turns (does not happen all the time just once in a while) could this have something to do with abs light on?
