To be honest I didn't find Zoloft to help with anything. depression or anxiety. I was on 200 miligrams a day.  My Mother was taking Wellbutrin and she would still call me crying just about everyday.  My point is I'm off Zoloft and she (Mom)has quit hers too.  I am better now simply because my stress level and hormone level has eased off a bit. (Well not really I still have a 21 yr old daughter that calls everyday with her everyday crisis. She called me Sunday morning mad at me because I forgot to tell her to turn her clock back an hour) I have been gaining some weight around my middle but not much since I have been exercising using that part of my body. And using an exercise that is easy since I have had back surgery and it has really helped.  Cortisol levels plays a big part in that gain in the middle weight. My exercise is the bicycle. It helps the best and doesn't hurt my back and really isn't hard. It's one of the top ten.  Try it! here it is http://exercise.about.com/od/abs/ss/abexercises.htm
