Zoey Zane is Emily Sander

Zoey Zane turns out to be (the little mousy) Emily Sander, who has disappeared.

Nobody confirms anything, but the Zoey Zane site is down...

What made her fess up this time? Could she have gone on double living like that forever?

Ron Paul for Prez in 2008.  It's the Constitution AND the Economy, stupid!

Mr. VoiceofReason

When I read your post here, I had a mild stroke! Are you serious! I had no clue there was the kind of money to be made by these girls, all from the safety of their homes!

I wanted to thank you for your stunning revelations about the economics of cyber-erotica, and ask you for some guidance as to how I might steer the 10 young women who are my 3 closest friends' granddaughters, nieces and and great-nieces away from the local money/viper pits that are strip joints and into the sanctuary of cyber-space.

I'm a retired school teacher, 77 years old, with 2 granddaughters who were both strippers from age 17 to their mid-20s, when they "retired" to raise their kids and husbands.

Until I learned through Emily's case about her secret internet sex work, I was very much ashamed to let anyone know what my "girls" did for money, even under cover of cyber-anonymity.

Now, thanks to Emily (and you), I'm mad enough to at least shout out from behind the cyber-curtain that it's not the young women who are at fault for not being able to make as much money in a "man's world," as they can in a "men's club."

We can't all be Hillary.

Reading the many ugly, hateful comments here and there on Emily-related forums, I see over and over again the exact mirror image of myself just two years ago, when I was a miserable hypocrite, too.

These self-righteous character assassins reveal the same profound ignorance, fear and arrogance that I had most of my life, allowing them to come up with such stupidities and cruelties as:

- Emily was an "internet prostitute." (I suppose just as Playboy Bunnies, Penthouse Pets and Hustler Honeys are "periodical prostitutes"?)

- Emily's killer met her through her internet job (I suppose just as every coed who's ever been raped or killed - remember Ted Bundy? - must have been similarly engaged in the sex-trade industry in order to subject themselves to murderers who are only looking for victims in the same places as Jack the Ripper. Come on, people, surely some of you who are, or know, women who've survived brutalities - speak up and out about what you know concerning the victim's job and how it factored into the crime!)

- [SAVING THE WORST FOR LAST] Someone actually pulled a Michael "Turd World" Savage and wrote that Emily's death shouldn't be mourned, as she's just one less whore on the streets. (I'm going to go back and find this quote and post it up so that you and the few intelligent ones who bother to banter with such morons can do all that you can to make this idiot sorry for what he or she or it wrote.)

Ever notice how the louder someone broadcasts his or her outrage at someone else's "naughty" conduct, the more naughty conduct that hypocrite is doing in secret? Who was that mega-preacher from Colorado who was condemning homosexuals loudly and proudly, until he got caught with a meth pipe in his mouth and a guy's penis in his butt? Or was it the other way around?

As in all tragedies, for every loss, something good comes about that wouldn't have, "but for."

I can see how much energy I've now got bubbling inside, to help get the word out for sex-workers (and for Ron Paul!), that they (sex-workers AND Dr. Paul) are necessary and vital parts of our human social structure.

NOT necessary "EVILS," to be marginalized, criminalized and dehumanized, as the phony preachers urge their followers to do before saying "Praaaaaaaaaaaaise Jeeeee-sus!"

These lying, thieving defrauding bags of Puritanical pomposity don't give a good "goddamn" that the real "Jeeee-sus" saved the life of a woman whose sex-work was a capital crime according to "GAWD's LAW."

Jeeeee-sus, according to the Christian legend, shamed the lynch mob into dropping their lethal weapons precisely BECAUSE none of them could pass "The Test." ("You who are without sin, cast the first stone.")

Sex workers who provide safe sex to the vast population of humans who are lonely, homely, infirm, sad, sick, weird and queer (in the archaic sense), are giving the essential human contact that every human needs - loving caresses and hugs on our bodies free from any form of covering or clothing - assuring us that we're worthy of another's contact, even if we have to pay them for it and even if our bodies are distorted through age, obesity, illness, accident, deformities and pure neglect from feeling "unwanted."

We are sensory dependent creatures, and become ill when we're sensory deprived of vital stimuli such as having another human's naked skin passionately pressing and rubbing in and around and over our own naked skin, so as to release the sexual energies we all store up so as to overcome our natural aversion to mutual invasion of personal space that keeps our noses out of each others bad breath zones.

So no body speak to me about sex-workers being "whores" or "prostitutes," or that such professionals are "necessary evils." Not unless your spoiling for a fight with a crusty grandma who's spent her life making big burly boys and men do what I tell 'em to!

These healers are "necessary ANGELS" and Emily ascended to that lofty position before her untimely death.

Through her physical and spiritual beauty, she sent her positive, healing sexual energy out into the world, revealing her pure and perfect nature, in a youthful, lusty and lovable sexy body.

Why shouldn't she, and all other brave angels, be lavished with the riches of an appreciative and loyal following of those they have "touched" and healed?

Sadly, she's not here in this world to reap the benefits of her precious gifts. But why shouldn't her mother and father, brother and others with whom she's connected through her last wishes, if any, continue to reap the benefits of Emily's "secret" empire? Whatever comes, I hope this message reaches these grieving humans to know that a higher intelligence (That intelligence being mine and yours, VoR!) has found them and will, if they're willing, take up, in Emily's good name, the cause of proving to the world that "Sex is good, Sex is great, let us thank Sex for our mate!"

Anyone who thinks there's a "god" which exists and wouldn't agree with this is a close-minded FOOL and deserves living life without the natural pleasures in this world so as to obtain greater pleasures in the world they say is waiting when their bodies have died and their life force has disapated into the vast unknown.

What do you say, VoiceofReason? Care to hook up with the VoiceofExperience and start some serious trouble with the powers that shouldn't be?

Let's take up the case to make love, not war,  as the new and true way to live in accord with nature and our fellow humans?

Let's "proselytize for prostitution," and set the record straight: the only whore is a Sacred Whore!

Rocking and Rolling,

Miz G

Rest in peace, Emily.  Blessings to you and those that loved you.

As far as the animal that did this, hope you have a bag of marsh mellows with you when you die.

These admonitions to"drop the whole porn part" and avoid "ugly hateful comments" seem to be unrealistic and head-in-the-sand attempts to ignore reality. This girl worked for an internet porn site and went to a motel with a man she picked up in a bar who murdered her. She certainly did not deserve to be killed, but she is responsible for placing herself in a position of danger. It's not a popular thing to say, but victims are not always entirely innocent.

Ron Paul for Prez in 2008.  It's the Constitution AND the Economy, stupid!

Prof. Warburg,

I share your view about "victims" not always being "entirely innocent," but as humans are inclined to do, you've drawn conclusions based upon inferences rather than facts, and your judgment-laden argument is patently flawed by your initial premise, in which you misinterpret my message concerning "ugly hateful comments."

No admonition to avoid such comments was ever suggested by me.  Quite the contrary, I credited them as a "magic mirror" of sorts, in which I plainly saw the past reflection of my former self.

How then, can it be I'm attempting to avoid reality?  If my head were in the sand, then so, too, are the heads concocting the slew of posts in which half-baked notions are offered up as well-reasoned analyses.

The official investigation into the case is underway, yet the legion of arm-chair internet sleuths share their amateur opinions that attest to their spectacular failure to keep the mind open and the mouth shut until the case is closed.

What do you (and most of the nation) know that the officers don't?  They only consider Mireles a "person of interest" while you (and most of the nation) have convicted him of her murder.  Does "innocent until proven guilty" sound familiar?  Does it mean anything?

The news report I heard said only that a witness spotted Mireles leaving the El Dorado bar with Emily - and my friend said she heard another report about a witness in the bar who claims Mireles, Emily and the pregnant 16 year old were arguing loudly in that bar.

Hmmmm.  Immature female, gestational hormones raging through her body as the father of her unborn child leaves a bar with an attractive "older" woman who is attending college and working as a successful nude model for a popular internet website - can you say "motive"?

Motel room splattered with blood - what happened?  Whose blood?  Autopsy results not disclosed - how did Emily die?

As to Emily picking up the man in a bar, on what facts do you base this?  I'm the first to admit my ignorance as to what has been disclosed that can be put into the "possibly credible fact" file.  The only other files I maintain are the "probable fact," "undisputable fact" and "pure bunk" files.  One fact is undisputed - Emily is dead.  Until we know from the autopsy her cause of death, it's a "probable fact" that she was killed.  "Possible facts" include: she was killed by someone else, the killing was deliberate, the killing was accidental, the killing was part of a conspiracy, the killing was an act of passion.  Another "possible fact" is that she worked for a an "internet porn site."

Which brings me to the other prong of your premise - correct in that Countryman did admonish us to "drop the whole porn part."

I agree fully that this admonition, standing alone and apart from the context Countryman assigned, is unrealistic, since it's a "probable fact" that Emily ("the girl" is so impersonal and cold) worked for an "internet porn site," and it's bordering on "pure bunk" that her work and her death are directly connected.  Maybe her newfound "fame" or relative "wealth" had something to do with her attitude, judgment, motives, etc., to go out in the "real world" to meet the man who was last seen with Emily.  Speculation affords limitless scenarios, none of which compel a link between her work and her death.

That, to me, is the main point I see Countryman trying to make - in order to focus on solving the crime, we should avoid discussion of the victim's controversial employment.

Obviously, to me, Countryman's concern suggests that he's taking on the role of assistant to the El Dorado police chief, reminding us, as part of the possee, that we've all been deputized by virtue of the reward, so "get to work"!

The reward, as I recall reading from this, the real "original" website: http://join.zoeyzane.com/,  is offered not with its help, but with its money.

Ironically, Countryman brings to our attention the one and only direct connection between Emily's employer and her murder, albeit post hac, which makes it impossible to forget, let alone drop, the "internet porn part."

And as to him thinking we should "forget" the "whole porn part," well, as you've obviously read my first post, you know how I feel about that.

Forget?  NEVER!  I want to make sure it is never forgotten, indeed, I'm comitted to making it the cornerstone of a national campaign, using the Emily Sander case as the national cause celebre, to rid our nation, once and for all, from the stranglehold religion has had on our freedom, both academic and actual.

I'm curious to know what subjects you teach, Professor?

Also, I think your experience with sex-worker students and your observations that may add or subtract to the effect such occupations have on these humans, would be most welcomed, at least by me.

Looking forward to your next post.

Miz G.

Credence and kudos to Countryman, for helping authorities by stopping the crazed obsession which is "literally crippling" their investigation.

My own views as expressed here, that Emily's case is the perfect springboard for a campaign to
