Aren't you a football fan?  Don't you know that that stupid little word you use is demeaning to our sport?  Why do you think it's unpopular in the U.S.?  Because no one wants to play a sport that has such a gay name. Only little kids and preteen girls.  That's why it's boring and not played right in the U.S.  If it was addressed by its proper name of football, believe me, people would play it more and play it better.
