YouTube Process Wanted

How do Youtube automate its submissions? From Encoding to Checking to final LIve Status... Does anyone have a breakdown of this process?

the files are not encoded. i assume they sit safely on the YouTube servers. the clips are shown with Flash, which can stream video.

as to the checking of the file - it is not checked for inappropriate content. if a certain number of users report it as being offensive - it is taken off the site.

Thanks Quack for the good info... Can I ask how you know so much about this? We are starting a site that will hopefully use such technology... and are trying to get answers... but Youtube is tight lipped... -Cheers c
