Yo Barry! Are You Paying Attention???

Does anyone read the newspapers in the U.S. government? How about checking out the dispatches coming from its generals in the field? Here’s a news story which tells all.

A Reuters’ dispatch from Iraq interviews the commander of U.S. forces there. What’s he say?
Al-Qaida is joining forces with Saddam Hussein’s supporters.
And where are both al-Qaida’s forces fighting in Iraq and Saddam’s backers headquartered with lots of money stolen from Iraq? Syria.
Syria? So Damascus is now allied with al-Qaida, the perpetrators of the September 11 attack to kill Americans and defeat the United States in Iraq? Is that right, general?:
“Investigations into massive suicide bombings in Baghdad on Oct. 25, in which more than 150 people died, indicated that explosives or fighters were coming across from Syria, U.S. General Ray Odierno also said.”
So, again, Syria is letting al-Qaida and Saddamist terrorists come in, get armed and trained, cross the border in Iraq, and run back for safe haven. Right, general?:
“The U.S. commander's comments reinforced accusations by the government of Shi'ite Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki that al Qaeda and former Baathists were working together to undermine improved security and elections expected to be held in January. Maliki's government has also accused neighboring Syria of giving a safe haven to Baathists plotting attacks in Iraq.”

This is so badly written (grammar, punctuality, etc.) that it is difficult to understand what Dan is saying.  I suggest that he rewrite the question, or whatever it is.

9/11 Defendants Want to Air View of Trial

NEW YORK (Nov. 23) -- The five men facing trial in the Sept. 11 attacks will plead not guilty so that they can air their criticisms of U.S. foreign policy, the lawyer for one of the defendants said.
Scott Fenstermaker, the lawyer for accused terrorist Ali Abd al-Aziz Ali, said Sunday the men would not deny their role in the 2001 attacks but "would explain what happened and why they did it."

The U.S. Justice Department announced earlier this month that Ali and four other men accused of murdering nearly 3,000 people in the deadliest terrorist attack in the U.S. will face a civilian federal trial just blocks from the site of the destroyed World Trade Center.

Ali, also known as Ammar al-Baluchi, is a nephew of professed 9/11 mastermind Khalid Sheikh Mohammed.
Mohammed, Ali and the others will explain "their assessment of American foreign policy," Fenstermaker said.
"Their assessment is negative," he said.

Fenstermaker met with Ali last week at the U.S. prison at Guantanamo Bay in Cuba. He has not spoken with the others but said the men have discussed the trial among themselves.

Fenstermaker was first quoted in The New York Times in Sunday's editions.
Critics of Attorney General Eric Holder's decision to try the men in a New York City civilian courthouse have warned that the trial would provide the defendants with a propaganda platform.

Dean Boyd, a spokesman for the Department of Justice, said Sunday that while the men may attempt to use the trial to express their views, "we have full confidence in the ability of the courts and in particular the federal judge who may preside over the trial to ensure that the proceeding is conducted appropriately and with minimal disruption, as federal courts have done in the past."

Last week, the Senate Judiciary Committee questioned Holder for hours about his decision to send the five 9/11 suspects to New York for trial.
Critics of Holder's decision — mostly Republicans — argued the trial will give Mohammed and his co-defendants a world stage to spout hateful rhetoric. Holder said such concerns are misplaced, and any pronouncements by the suspects would only make them look worse.

"I have every confidence that the nation and the world will see him for the coward that he is," Holder told the committee. "I'm not scared of what Khalid Sheikh Mohammed has to say at trial — and no one else needs to be, either."
The attorney general said he does not believe holding the trial in New York — at a federal courthouse that has seen a number of high-profile terrorism trials in recent decades — will increase the risk of terror attacks there.

"GOD BLESS OUR TROOPS"

Having the trial held in New York City is insane, this is NOT the place for the terrorist to be tried, in a  civilian federal court house a few blocks away, get real/ does any one really think that the families are going to get seated, NO, you have the security you have the Military, you have the media, and one big circus!!!

This should be held as a Military Tribunal as DanG has stated, and at "GITMO" a place that we should NOT close at this time, we are STILL AT WAR, last I HEARD.

Yes lets put the city right back into a state of terror, ask most people how they feel, they really want to relive tat day again....I think that meowkats was looking for a video of 9/11, I have so I'll put it in, if they did not take mine off also!!!

Whatever it Takes.

Obama knows SYRIA is a safe haven for TERRORISTS - to evade IRAQ - especially since Nancy Pelosi set the stage for it - when Pelosi travelled to SYRIA.

Why should the US taxpayer have supported Pelosi's personal agenda to consort with our enemies -

to undo - everything our American Troops have done in IRAQ.

Pelosi should have been arrested for TREASON - as a TRAITOR to our country.

Considering Pelosi's FALSE certification of Obama - having two different documents certifying that Obama was "eligible" to serve as President of the United States - and ILLEGALLY - placed Obama on the election ballot in all 50 states -

Pelosi will eventually have criminal charges - that she should have gotten as a TRAITOR to our country as soon as she returned from SYRIA.
