Some people believe that he is the same person. There are many different names for him.

He is the same person, His name is Yehsua Emanuel.  My question is why have we changed the name to Jesus Christ from Yeshua Emanuel when neither name is a translation from the Hebrew?  Even if they were a translation normally when doing a translation names are not changed.

Be Blessed.

Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, and have not charity (Love), I am become as a sounding brass, or a tinkling cymbal.

Charity suffereth long, and is kind; charity envieth not; charity vauneth not itself, is not puffed up, Doth not behave itself unseemly, seekth not her own, is not easily provoked, thinketh no evil; Rejoiceth not in iniquity, but rejoiceth in truth; Beareth all things, believeth all things, hopeth all things, endureth all things. Charity never faileth.

And now abideth faith, hope, charity, these three; but the greatest of these is (Love) charity.

Matthew 1:20-21 But while he thought on these things, behold, the angel of the Lord appeared unto him in a dream, saying, Joseph, thou son of David, fear not to take unto thee Mary thy wife: for that which is conceived in her is of the Holy Ghost. And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name JESUS: for he shall save his people from their sins.--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Luke 1:30-31 And the angel said unto her, Fear not, Mary: for thou hast found favour with God. And behold, thou shalt conceive in thy womb, and bring forth a son, and shalt, call his name JESUS.------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Matthew 1:16 And Jacob begat Joseph the husband of Mary, of whom was born Jesus, who is called Christ.

Tippy, I can read the Neww Testament, but I also read the Old Testament (The Tanack) with no mention of a Jesus or Christ.  There is prediction of a virgin giving birth to Emanuel and other places predicting the name above all names, which is Yeshua or Yashea.  Why would Gabriel, an angel of the GOD of the Hebrews tell Yoseph to give their baby a latin/greek name.  Especially why would He name Him after the Greek god Kristos?

Hi Phil, I am not looking for a debate, when it comes to my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. I plainly gave you Holy Scripture. The New Testament calls him Jesus the Christ, other than that, I cannot comment. One day it will be revealed what Gabriel actually said, but until that day, I will stick to the Holy Scripture as my reference....Be Blessed

Yeshua means YHVH's saviour, and Emanuel means "God with us". God would never ask us to do anything He was not willing to do himself. When God said "Let us make man in "our" image, He included himself. Jesus said" if you have seen me, you have seen the Father". Jesus was God in the flesh. He had to go through what we go through in the flesh to be the perfect High Priest and advocate. God would never know what a flesh man goes through if he had not experienced it for himself. That is why he has the compassion that he has for us today. If you notice, He seems to be more understanding in the new testament than he was in the old. That is because he experienced living in the flesh like we all do. One God, three offices. Just like a Father is a father, but he is also a son, maybe a brother, an uncle, a grandfather, a friend or whatever the case may be. Same man, different offices.

I assume YHVH is referring to YHWH, which the Jews will only write in Hebrew, when written elsewhere they write GOD.  GOD is the same yesterday, today, and tomorrow.  There is nothing in the New Testament that is not in the Tanakh.  Yeshua says he did not come the change the law, but to fullfill it.  To Understand Yeshua you must understand Judaism.  There is One GOD, YHWH, Yeshua is divine being, but not GOD and the Holy Ghost is a divine spirit.  GOD has the compassion for us today because His Son died for our sins, so through Yeshua our sins are forgiven.  Yeshua has been with GOD from the beginning.

YHVH. that is the sacred name. No "W's" in Hebrew. YHVH. Look it up. God is the same yesterday, today and forever. I agree. What are we arguing about? God came to show us how to live. He would not ask his children to do anything that he was not willing to do himself and that is to be born of woman and live in a flesh body just like He did as Jesus, (Emanuel, God with us) and Yesuah (YHVH's Saviour}God is totally fair with all of His children. He loves them all equally. But He also has a plan and He does not want what happened in the world that was to happen in this earth age. That is why we are all here. When do you think that the dinosaurs were here? It is evident that they were here, but they are not here now. America, Russia and all nations are in the bible. Do you think that God would leave the Super Power of America out of the bible? I don't think so. Do you think that the small nation on Israel is the only tribe of the 10 tribes that are in the bible? I don't think so. Why do you think that God calls them the "lost" tribes? Because they don't know who they are
