Yeddai petition to end harassment

YEDDAI PETITION TO END HARASSMENT We, the undersigned Yeddai, hereby publicly petition Yedda.com to allow us to protect ourselves from cyber-stalking and public harassment. We insist that certain changes be made to the site: 1) People posting questions will have the ability to delete all responses at their discretion. 2) People answering questions will have the ability to delete any replies directed at them at their discretion. 3) The thumbs ranking system will be overhauled in one or more of several ways: a) Only the person asking the question can apply thumbs up or down. b) All thumbs down must be accompanied by a reason posted to the moderator. c) Abolishment of the thumbs rating system altogether. If no progress is made in meeting our demands by March 15, 2009, we will cease contact with the site. Signers, please keep your remarks brief. ProfitBob my friend, ------- I am in complete agreemant with you. However I am not sure it will help. To destroy something is always easier than to build (that's a law in Thermodynamics). Ah, the mob in personality babble, it seems to have invaded this forum.  What Yedda needs is a click to ignore certain people if you decide on whether or not you want to read their answers to all of the postings.. this will ignore them for you but others will be able to read and/or answer if they so desire.. if Yedda would do this we would not have to constantly put up with the personality babble wars.. CLICK IGNORE.. If no one is paying attention, they just might go somewhere else... I make no comments here of those who constantly call me a terrorist atheisit because I don't believe in their type of religious views..and/or political views,  even though I have stated that I am Lutheran- proud, but not too proud.... we even have humor about ourselves..

March 15, 2009 is almost here and I have just this minute discovered this question! (6:38pm Tuesday, March 03,2009) Promise me Bob, if you find a better site for serious discussions, try to let me know. I am willing to give up any and all my forty some thumbs if that will help. It's a waste, political gossip and conspiracy theories.  Shameful that people buy it, drama queens the worst indulgent in this.  Watch out, drama queens use and abuse you, don't get too friendly they turn like rabid dogs.

The benefits have outweighed the childish ramblings of some posters, those that pirate the accounts and spam the topics to death.

I was also hacked into; I've changed my name to Mature from Nwad42860 due to this being a violation of the sites policies; and it is also becoming very ridiculous.  I can't believe that the administrator thinks that it is a good idea to be without moderation.

What is going on Rep? - yes we've had our differences politically; I think though we've come to the meeting of the minds at this juncture.

 

Who is this 'lady' (a term I assure you I use very loosely) and the varied posters named Dawg?  Yes, I too believe Dawg has become rabid.

I watched a bogus post change itself before my eyes from nwad to mature in a post to Tippy.  I reported it to Yedda immediately, and then wrote them a letter.  Earlier this evening I saw bogus avatars mimicking repartee and jude and reported those.

They are easy to identify with the new statistics Yedda provides.  Why Yedda lets it happens is a mystery.

So far we number twenty-three people who have posted onto to this blog.  Things semed to have been improving the last few days, but still the attacks keep happening, and the silence from official Yedda is deafening.  I forwarded a post to Yedda in which the poster claimed to have 107 Yedda accounts.  Blocking an IP address isn't much good if they just move around with a wireless laptop from hot spot to hot spot stealing service,  but blocking duplicate names seems like a no-brainer.  I wouldn't be using this name on this site if I thought that duplicates were allowed.  I would call myself "anonymous".  Everywhere else I use the name it is the only one allowed.  No exact duplicates need apply.  How that is not the case here I cannot figure out.

Thank you profitbob, I've changed my own name to see how quickly the person or persons are doing so.

Nwad42860 is my original and one can see from the amount of responses that were made, true a wireless is used to hack as well as cannot be banned.  There may be other methods; which I'm not certain about.  The easiest is blocking duplicate names true.

 

I hope that this is straightened out soon.  Thanks again.
