Old blood turns brown - it's just old. Either your cycle is ending, or at the very beginning, and can also be brown if your period is light. When there's heavier bleeding it's usually red, and lighter could be pink or brown. It is totally normal, but the fact that your period is coming quite sporadically, is something to be more worried out, and should probably be checked out with your doctor.

thanks thats kind of what i thought it was but wasnt totally sure if maybe it was something bad. but i have gone to the doc so many times i probably get a pap about 4 times a yr atleast. and i go for other randome stuff all the time becuse im so obsessed with finding out whats wrong with me because i want to have a baby so bad. but it seems like the docs never take me seriously its so frustrating! its always the same answer... get on the pill to regulate your cycle. but if im on the pill i cant have a baby du! right? but thanks for the info! =)

When you say that you go to the doctor, do you go to your regular house doctor, or to a gynochologist? If you go to your house doctor, than you should probably be seeing a specialist instead, especially if you would like to get pregnant. I am sorry that you are having to go through this, and wish you the best of luck that everything is ok, and you are able to conceive.
