YIKES: AOL listing names this way and that way making the list 2-3 times longer to look through

With AOL 9.1, when I am writing/composing an email and I click the "To" button to choose who to send it to, all the first and seperately the last names and sometimes separately the email addresses that each start with A are listed under A, then B, C... This means that Sally Alpha mssallyalpha@aol.com is listed 3 times, under S, A and M. This means that I have 3 times as many names to look through. And if I'm sending to a number of people, I have to remember if I've already chosen each one previously under another letter {and unbeknownst to me, did I missed their name under a previous letter}. Argh, this makes me so crazy. Hope you can help me out here! lol :}

I'm not sure how your address book is set up, but mine only lists each entry once.  Better to have them listed more than once than not at all.  Wink   Don't worry, AOL will remove duplicate addresses for you when the message is sent.

My Address Book only lists each entry once if I go to "Address Book". It's when I'm composing an email and I click To: or Bcc: that a small window opens up and has a tab for each letter of the alphabet, under which it lists all names in the address bk that have a first name that starts with that letter and each that has a last name that starts with that letter and each email that starts with that letter. It takes forever to go thru and crazes my eyes.

But WOW, I didn't know aol removes duplicates. That's nice.

ANYONE ELSE KNOW WHAT TO DO ABOUT THE ADDRESS WINDOW WITH TABS AND ALL THE DUPLICATE PERMUTATIONS?
