Can the Xbox 360 connect to my media center pc?

Can the Xbox 360 connect to my media center pc without the microsofy xbox 360 bridge? (I have a media center PC connected to a home wireless network, the 360 would be plugged into the wireless router - belkin - and the PC would connect to the router via a wireless connection). Can I stream music and video from my mce pc to my 360 this way?

I would also recommend following this guide which explains step by step the necessary steps in making your Xbox 360 access a Windows XP SP2 or (like in your case) a Windows Media Center PC.

In addition to that, according to this FAQ from Microsoft, there is no additional hardware that you need to get.
