Anyone know of an XML feed of Israeli TV listing? I've found http://www.tvxb.com/ has ini files that parse various sources for an XMLTV file to use as EPG for your media centre, but a live stream..

According to the israeli law, the copyrights of a programming schedule of a TV channel belongs to the operators of that channel.

So, if you see a printed TV guide it means that the company printing it paid money to the various content providers (YES, HOT, Channel 1, Channel 2 and Channel 10) to get the programming information.

I've been hearing some rumors lately that Microsoft Israel bought the rights for the programming information and they will publish it as part of their campaign to put some more Microsoft XP Media Center Edition (and after that Vista Media Center Edition) in the living rooms of Israelis.

Some of the rumors even talk about the fact that they will release this information publicly in the EPG XML format.

In the mean time, the options available today are to write something the scrapes the HTML off of HOT and YES's sites.

Let's cross our fingers in hopes that this rumor is indeed correct.

Still, I'm a bit surprised nobody has set up a cron job that parses walla.com and tv2day.co.il once a day or something. It shouldn't be too difficult..

Seems like someone's already done most of the hard work..
