Writing a review on a product purchased

What is the best way to get customers to come back to write a review about a product they have purchased from you?

I have two websites on line and, have customers that order from me. I write a short note asking them to come back in and write a short review on the products they received. I also include the link to take them directly to the product, trying to make it easy for them to write the review. I am looking for some idea's from others to see how they manage this task.

Proud to be a Kraut (I am German in case you are not familiar with the word "Kraut").

Live life to the fullest because you never know when it may be your last day and never, ever let anyone talk you out of an adventure you want to undertake. In most cases they are just jeleous or envious.

when we ask others for a favor it usually is a good idea to offer some kind of incentive for them to entice them to do what we would want them to do.

In your case offer them something that is inexpensive for you like a dicount on future purchases of your products which would save them money. People like top get "free" things and respond mopre favorable to requests to do something, try it and see.

The best way to get feedback on a product is to send a broadcast to the order list for the product and ask for it.  This only works when you also provide a way for them to respond.  Just asking for a reply is not going to get the results you're looking for.

You can use a survey service like www.SurveyMonkey.com.  They have both free and paid accounts.  You can get excellent results using the free service.

You setup the survey to include the responses you want.  Be sure to ask pinpointed questions for them to answer - this will help you improve your product and also get ideas for additional products.  At the end, ask for a recommendation and a testimonial.

This works for me every time!
