"Be the change you wish to see in the world." ~ Mahatma Gandhi
A:

I've written many short stories over the years, and the best way I've found that works for me is to just start writing and see what happens.  I've ended up with complete stories practically writing themselves this way.

If this isn't your style, though, I would suggest that you start writing about a fantasy you have.  Perhaps life as a rockstar, or as a warrior of the ancient Celts, or as a Tibetan mystic.  Or try your hand at writing from an entirely different (than you) point of view to see where it leads you.  Sometimes, the best way to clear "writer's block" is to just start writing!

I think that once you start trying to look for creative ideas, you've already moved too far away from your creativity.  Stop trying, and just write.   You may be surprised.  Cool
