Re: Worship leader Terry Macalmon

Does anyone know why Terry Macalmon resigned from his own ministry?  He's an amazing worship leader.

Well, DaFunkyDj....

For those wanting to know truth about the above that has been posted. There has been NO "newsletters" posted on Terry's website since SPRING 2007! NONE! So how can this most recent posting have ANY truthfullness whatsoever stating the false statements. Seems one man wants glory for knowing it all, when he has no more to back this up than a can of beans. Terry has NOT made any newsletter in 2008, not posted on his site, nor anywhere else. Anybody can post such a message and sign another's name to it. How lame. I invite everyone to check out Terry's site, www.terrymacalmon.com and see that once you click on the NEWSLETTER link, of SPRING 2007...it contains no such information. Whatever happened to Terry had not occured yet way back then, the sabbatical, and resignation, and reasoning for it all. The above posting, is fabrication and a stretch of the imagination. I would like to know the exact URL of this so-claimed admission of the occurrence. Post it! And not on someone elses personal website either, where anything can be made up and added. What I suspect is simply that Terry has had personal issues and problems, as we all have had, only maybe more serious and he is unsure of God's direction in dealing with them. If it's more than that, so be it, let God and himself deal with it and have it rectified so we can once again enjoy worshipping God along with him.

4 thumbs up

Dear Roger,

You are right. Terry MacAlmon is an AMAZING and highly anointed worship leader and psalmist.  His music has the gift to heal just as David's did, it had healed me and so ministered to my soul in a great time of need and many others as well who have sent their testimonies of healing into his ministry.  But he is also just a man, and right now he is similarly in a great time of need. He fell under attack by the enemy and entered into sin and his marriage is suffering.  Please pray for him and his family at this time. He truly needs our prayers.  I see this as a strong attack of the enemy against his ministry and the powerful impact of his ministry to help others and set this free from the enemy's grip and release God's healing into their lives.   The enemy was not pleased and has retaliated against this ministry in this fashion. His gift of worship is powerful and special because it came from a truly holy source - the Spirit of God and HIS RESURRECTED POWER AND LIFE working in and through Terry.  It was pure, holy and true.  He truly is gifted and this is the enemy's way of attacking the integrity of his ministry, gifting, anointing, family and his christian witness. But if christians will for once pray and not point the finger of accusation this great gift to the body of Christ can be restored once again with an even greater testimony to God than before.  God can heal and restore any situation.  Nothing is to impossible for him.  Terry has sent an apology to those who are his ministry partners very forthrightly explaining the situation. He has fallen but with much prayer and accountability, he can get back up.  Pray for him, his family, and the call of God upon his life. The need is dire, I personally don't know the details but believe it was an especially powerful attack of the enemy to deceive him and set him off course. Pray for his eyes to be completely made open to the danger which is before him so that he will not fall again into sin. Pray especially for his wife, this has got to be a devastating blow to her and she will need healing and special prayer to overcome this attack on their marriage as well and also his family and ministry associates.  Trust has got to be rebuilt in all of his relationships.  Pray for Terry too for strength and fortitude to overcome this attack of the enemy and not yield any further to temptation. It is possible to be even more vulnerable to further attack during a time of healing, for it is it also a time of great weakness, and a person can be so vulnerable to discouragement, condemnation, and disappointment.  Imagine what he must be going through to know that his sin has has brought great pain and suffering to his loved ones and is working now to destroy his ministry. Imagine the shame - not just his but his family's as well. Pray that Terry, his entire family and those in ministry with him YIELD and SURRENDER ALL to God at this time, and do not hinder God's work of restoration but cooperate with God's process and timing as difficult as it must be. They will need time for the healing to made complete. I personally believe that they will overcome and be victorious in this battle, but we must pray for them. Terry has done the right thing in stepping down so that this process can begin. Pray for righteousness, love, truth, and holiness in God to prevail.  LOVE covers a multitude of sins.  We know the enemy only comes to kill, steal, and destroy.  He wants to steal Terry's anointing and destroy his marriage, family, and ministry.  But God is more than able. To God be all the GLORY for this family's restoration and healing, and stronger than ever before. And the ministry too! In Jesus name,  Amen.  Gwen, a fellow christian and servant of God.

Pianomaster, I have followed Terry MacAlmon's Ministry for years. My heart goes out to him and his family. Can you dispell the rumours that this has anything to do with him being unfaithful?

I received the same e-mail as quoted earlier--I'm on his email list as a Sons of Asaph member.  Yes, that is accurate.  How sad!
