Terry MacAlmon Steps Down From Ministry

Worship leader Terry MacAlmon announced in May that he was stepping down from ministry after having had an extramarital affair. "I don't have a timeline as to if or when I will return to ministry, but I know I cannot go forward with my soul in this condition," MacAlmon wrote in a letter to ministry supporters. His wife, Greta, said she planned to file for legal separation, saying counseling and a restoration process had failed. "At this time Terry has chosen to leave his family, these [counseling] relationships, and the ministry," she said, adding that she believes MacAlmon will one day be restored.

man, i just found out this news today!! was wondering if i could have still gotton in to the pikes peak festival this year... gee, it's soo sad. we were playing that for the bride cd several times today and just soaking it in! well there's an anointing in the music that we cannot deny. i hope his heart is healed soon, because it would be a terrible thing to loose the quality and sincerness of the worship he produces. we will continue to pray!

We will not lose Terry. We will pray for him and for his family too. Jesus did not even condemn the woman caught in adultery but He rather restored her. As a matter of fact, king Solomon was the son of the woman that David committed adultery with. Our heavenly Father is not a police officer but a loving Father and He forgives.

The fact that Terry feels down is a proof of the fact that Terry is a holy man with the fear of God in His heart. Terry repented like David did and I know that God has heard him. One thing I also know is that the latter end of Terry would be greater than his former. This was also so in David's life and our Father is the same yesterday, today and always.

Terry, if you ever read this I want you to know that we may have lost other men and women in the past but we will not lose you. Even if the world must cease to exist, we will not lose you. Jesus has not forgotten your labour of love towards Him and Jesus is the good shepherd. He is the shepherd who goes all out to look for His lost sheep. Look out Terry, Jesus Christ the Messiah has back for you.

This is so sad. He IS a great worship leader. May God restore his soul and marriage, even if his ministry never is.
