I want to try my luck, and try to work in New-York USA.(by myself)

I need information on the working options to an Israeli without green-card in new-york city.

Where can I earn money this days?

From where(and what) to be careful?

Depending on your qualifications...you can apply for jobs with US-based companies...specifically for the positions based in New York...and then if you do land-up that job, you will need a work-permit to work in US...which the company can sponsor on your behalf.

Another option might be to go on a student-visa and enroll full-time as a student in college or university located in NY. That way, you can at least work for 20 hours on campus (provided you get a job) and then after you've completed your graduation...apply for OPT (Optional Practical Training) that allows you to work in your field of study for one year without getting a work-ermit.

On a lighter note, find an American Citizen whom you can marry and then come to US and work here, after you get your green card.

I would recommend living in Queens or Brooklyn, I would not recommend living in Harlem (upper Manhattan) or the Bronx.  Apartments can also be found at the above website. Below is a map of New York City.

As far as the green card goes, you should probably get one.  The process can be found here:

Another option, to start off, would be to obtain a student visa by attending a university in New York City.
