There's a survey now to find the modern Seven Wonders of the World. Regardless of the results in that poll, what would you say are the most wonderful objects or places in the world?
Assisted by the list of World Heritage 830 properties by UNESCO, and trying to apply my own experience as a traveler, I would say that the top 7 resorts are: the great barrier reef in Australia, the historic centre of Brugge in Belgium, the site of Angkor in Cambodia, the historic center of Prague in the Czech Republic, Mont Saint Michel in France, the region of upper Svaneti in Georgia, and the old city of Jerusalem in Israel.

Thanks, Solen and rtaui, for your replies. I'll have to visit some of these someday ...
My vote is on the Tubbataha reef in the Philippines. I've never seen anything like it -- nothing comes close.
