Fertility Stories - infertility experiences of people like you.

If a woman has never had a period, she probably is not ovulating and can therefore not conceive.

Fertility treatments are available that can help women with most types of problems, whether artificially stimulating production of an ovum or by using donor eggs, when necessary. The treatment, obviously, depends on the diagnosis.

A hormonal profile (done by drawing blood) may be a good way to get started.

Good luck!

It's important to note, however, that it is possible to get pregnant before having the first period. A teenage girl who has not had her period should not rely on that to protect her from pregnancy.

Additionally, a woman who has had a baby and hasn't gotten her period yet can also get pregnant. She will likely ovulate before getting her first period.
