I am looking to buy a christmas gift for a friend and was looking at the babybjörn potty chair, seeing that I heard her mention that she wanted it. How does the babybjörn potty chair campare to the other potty chairs available otu there?

A potty chair is a potty chair. If that's the one your friend likes, then get it.
I agree, you certainly want a chair that is easy to clean and easy to use! I did a fair bit of shopping for potty chairs before I found the Baby Bjorn. Out of all the ones i used it was the only one that didnt leak! The built in splash guard at the front is great. It is a very sturdy chair and best of all all the edges are smooth. . The insert goes in from the top and is easily removed which is great for avoiding spills! if you want to look at what i purchased just go to amazon here. Out of all the places i looked, they had the best price.
