Perhaps it can be summed up by the quote, "Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned". This comes from a play called the "The Mourning Bride" (1697) by William Congreve.
Some things rarely change. Personally, I believe that men are more fatalistic. Bad things happen and we move on. Women take it more personally. And some of this is simply the way that we are wired up.
Women are quite capable of having relationships. On the whole, I think that they are much better than men. I believe that this contributes to the diffuculty they have in forgiving a man who has treated them poorly on more than one occasion.
I should have waited until tomorrow to answer this. It is very late and I am tired which is contributing to the incoherency of this post.
