Recently I have installed an old (bought 6 years ago) FastCom TV & FM tuner PCI card. Under Win98 the device has been identified and installed successfully. The device is labeled: "Brooktree Fusion/Video Capture Device" with the provider's details: "TelSignal Co., Ltd date:5-29-1999". Under Windows XP no device driver has been found on the installation CD. The address on the package - www.fastcom.com.tw , "Items International Computer Corp " - is not found. Also found in my searches that the file tv878xp.zip is suitable for 878tv tuner card .. Any suggestion ?
They're coming to take me away, Ha-haaa!

If your card is BT848 or BT849, you might find the drivers here. Do mind that this site requires either a free registration, or you can order the files on a CD.
I don't know for sure if it will work for you, but its worth a try.

Have downloaded tv8789x.zip and extracted to a local folder, activated Update driver within DeviceManager screen. The wizard says it cannot find the necessary software at the given folder path.
This probably means that the driver you are using not the right one for your card, or is not for Windows XP.
I would suggest you try what I've previously suggested, and if not, you might want to consider getting a new card . They are relatively very cheap today.
Did not find the answer yet !
Basically it means that this driver is not the right one for your card.
Since this is an old card and the company manufacturing it seems to disappear, perhpas it would be best to either install a old Windows machine to use it (with Windows 98 or something), or simply get a new PCI card or perhaps even a USB based one.
I have given up to be helped in this thread.
I am trying to download with no success, so I don't know how it's works.
