Windows Vista

I have windows Vista, and everytime I attempt to save something on Microsoft Works, PowerPoint or Windows Movie Maker, the computer freezes up. Why is it doing this, and what can I do to fix it? (I have a Gateway computer that I just bought a couple months ago).

If you are using Norton AV , disable the office plug-in.Try
