Who or what is WikiHow, and why are they on Yedda?

Why is WikiHow and WikiHow Community asking and answering questions on Yedda?  Did Wikipedia become a partner site of Yedda?  Does WikiHow and WikiHow Community represent individuals or groups operating under a common name?  Do you/they represent wikihow.com?   If yes, do all answers from Yedda go into the How-to Manual, or just the ones from WikiHow Community?  Are you mining data from old Yedda blogs for the manual?

Since WikiHow and WikiHow Community seem to already be related, and the articles are ready before the questions are, why do you need to post the questions and answers on Yedda?

I noticed that too! I was planning to ask Wikihow Community about that, then noticed this morning that s/he has a new little friend named just plain Wikihow.

To quote Alice, "curiouser and curiouser!"

It will be interesting to see if you get a reply from either party. Good call, PB!

Hey, granny, how are you doing?  I asked this directly to WikiHow as a public question because I figured other people than myself were probably getting curious.  Yedda has been pretty lackadaisical about their blog and newsletter so it's hard to keep up with new partner sites.  Their question origination refers back to http://www.wikihow.com/Main-Page but I don't see a connection to Yedda there, nor a reference to it like with all the other originator partner sites.

It doesn't make any sense to me what they are doing asking and answering their own questions here when they can do that in their own site.  I could understand them asking the Yedda community questions they don't have answers for, but that doesn't seem to be what they are doing.

I also noticed that most - but not all - of Wikihow Community's questions had a Wikihow site as the topic.

I went so far as to travel into some of the topic sites to see if our Yedda answers had been incorporated (and credited!) into said sites, but haven't noticed that they have done so, as yet.

I haven't looked at any of Wikihow's questions so far.

I agree that Yedda staff (or someone) should look into it and provide an explanation; this type of question/answer with no real need for it gives Yedda a bad name (in my opinion).

granny, yeah, you would think that if the wikicommunity and the Yeddai were going to merge into a single group that someone would have said something.  Granted we have many of the same goals and aspirations, but we have distinctly different philosophies, and inherent conflicts in how we operate.  We are a lot more loosey-goosey than wikiHow when it comes to answering and staying on topic.  wikiHow is trying to generate a different type of output than Yedda is, and it is output that I have suggested to Yedda that we also try to generate.  So, I can see how a collaboration would be in everybody's best interests, but not why it would be kept a secret.  Nor do I see why it would operate the way it has been with the way they have been posting and answering questions.  If the WikiHow questions are coming from wikiHow users, are they operating under a different set of rules than all the other partner sites?  Will the wikiHow users get Yedda answers or just WikiHow Community answers?  Will they know if any answers are provided from Yedda, and will they (the individual original askers) be able to respond to Yedda posters?

Way too many questions.  I have an eye for inconsistencies at times, and this seems to be one of those times.
