Do you think women are more comfortable with true intimacy than men?
Is this only a culture stereotype, or is there truth in that?
I think that it is a steriotype. It is difficult to generalize all women or men in that way. I know some men that look for true intimacy and some women that find it very difficult to settle down with anyone. It is definitely cultural as well because different cultures have different levels of intimacy between its people. In some cultures men are comfortable kissing one another openly to show affection, while in others any physical contact between men is considered strange. I think that it is not as simple as measuring intimacy to make a comparison between the sexes. It would be difficult to compare intimacy because many men and women show it in different ways. For the most part, I would say that intimacy levels depend on an individual and often how they were raised, both by their family and within their culture.
i think men are more comfortable with the sexual part of intimacy. I think women are more comfortable with the physical part like hugging, kissing, cuddling, holding hands and so on.
