Why can't I whistle out loud. How is it done?

Best way is to whistle with your fingers. Here is how you do it:

  1. Roll your tongue up
  2. Put both your index and middle fingers of both hand in your mouth and on top of the tip of the back of your tongue (back is up as you have just flipped it up on step 1)
  3. Close your lips tight over the fingers - that will create a small entry just in between your two index fingers
  4. Blow (tip: don't blow very hard when you practice. You'll see when the whistle sound is coming even if it is a gentle blow of air. Once you get the grip of it - put some more energy to get to the High DBs
