Where's that Hush Puppie recipe and demo.?

Curtis,

I searched for a Hush Puppie recipe on your site and came up empty handed. When can we expect a fried fish and hush puppy demonstration? Please E-mail me when it's ready.

Thanks,

Rick Matherly, ramatherly@aol.com

I have no idea which recipe Curtis Stone likes, but there are over 50 different hush puppy recipes on a community cooking site I like. If you want to look them over, go to Recipezaar.com and type 'hush puppies' in the searchline.

I did not search to see if they also have fried fish recipes, but I wouldn't be surprised.

Which hat to choose - Mother, wife, teacher, artist, chef, writer...hmm what a day and it is only 8:00 am.

I could not locate Curts Stones Recipe (not even in the book) but here is oneI use that is loved by my family: Ingredients: Hush Puppies Soy,peanut or vegetable oil for deep-frying 2 cups self-rising cornmeal mix 3 tablespoons self-rising flour 2 tablespoons finely chopped green onion 1 cup milk 1 egg, beaten Preparation: In a deep fryer or heavy, deep skillet, heat 2 to 3 inches of oil over medium heat to 375°. In a mixing bowl, combine cornmeal mix, flour, and onion. Add milk and egg; mix well. Let stand for 5 minutes. Drop batter by tablespoons into hot oil. Fry until golden brown, turning several times. Drain on paper towels. Makes about 15 hush puppies.
