Does anyone have any recipes for cookies that can be made with whole wheat flour??

I would just substitute any recipe you know of with whole wheat flour. (try adding an extra egg if it tastes too healthy ;-p) yes it really is that simple.
honestly though... I like oatmeal cookies.

I agree with you on the oatmeal cookies, as they are my favorite as well, but I am trying to broaden my baking a bit!! I am under the impression that whole wheat flour is not going to hold together as well as white flour, and that my cookies are going to fall apart. However, I have yet to experiment and may be completely wrong. As soon as I do, I will report back to let you all know. In the meantime, if anyone knows of any whole wheat cookie recipes, it would be much appreciated!
so add an egg or some nice non saturated oil. the fun is in feeling it out. with cookies you can kind of wing it.... seriously... I throw the kitchen sink in.
rye flour, corn flour... some oatmeal... throw some flavour... some sunflower seeds... sesame seeds... anise seeds, some wierd nuts... don't be limited by a cookbook. go to the store and look around. take a look at some of the heartier gourmet breads and see what is in them... then come back and throw it in the cookie...
I make pancakes the same way... different everytime.. that is the fun!
I came up with this to make our frequent chocolate chip cookies more healthy. My family could hardly notice the difference.
1/3 cup butter, melted and browned
1/3 cup granulated sugar
1/2 cup packed brown sugar
1 egg
2 tsp. vanilla
1 cup whole wheat flour
1 cup oats
1/4 cup ground flax seed
3/4 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 cup chopped pecans, toasted
1/4 cup chopped bittersweet chocolate (such as ghirardelli 60%)
Preheat oven 325 F. Place chopped pecans on cookie sheet and toast until lightly browned. Cool. In a small sauce pan oven med-high heat melt butter until golden brown . Cool slightly. Beat butter and sugars on medium speed until well combine. Add egg and vanilla, beat well. In separate bowl whisk flour, oats, ground flax seed, baking powder and soda, and salt. Combine butter mixture with flour mixture. Stir in pecans and chocolate. Bake at 325 F for 12-14 mins.
