You could well have depression. Or you could have CFIDS. I have Chronic fatigue myself, and it has a multitude of unpleasant symptoms. But to get a good medical take on it, you must see a doctor that knows and understands what chronic fatigue is. America is very much behind the times on CFIDS, and many doctors still don't believe it exists and say it's depression. They never stop to realize that depression is also one of the symptoms, along with fatigue, memory and concentration problems, and more.
Unlerss you do have a hormonal imbalance, which can be tested with blood tests, there's no real diagnosing protocol for CFIDS. If you have fibro with it, which most of us get, there are some tests. Multiple chemical sensitivities also often occur with it.
Do find a doctor that understands CFIDS and talk to him to see if you fall in that category. It really is a life destroying illness which is not well understood at all. It can be a serious disability, and you should not have suffered for 10 years with CFIDS, depression or anything else.
