Whats the best way to set up a web site??

If you really want a great website and it is important to a business to have a great website. Have a professional do it for you.

If you browse through the sites of those in the same field as yourself you will find good sites and bad sites. Look at the quality of them, the layout and the ease of navigation.

Make a note of the good ones so you can use them as a guidline for having your site built.

If you decide to hire a professional, it is always best to find one in your area. This will ease the burden of contacting and getting needed information to them.

Check their references and view some of the sites they have built. The expense normally depends on how many pages you need.

Since there are lots of businesses that start and fail, I think you should test the waters first. I'd suggest trying to build your own webpage from blogger or even myspace. You can see the receptivity of the idea/business before you invest a lot of money into hiring a professional to build a separate webpage. I hope this helps.

You don't have to pay for your own site if you start it through blogger or myspace. They are both free to build websites and they walk you through the steps of building your webpage. If you find it to be very successful and you want to buy a domain name, you can always provide a link or automatically link up your new domain name to the old webpage so that people will be automatically re-directed there.

The people that you are studying through are going to be offering a package at the completion of your training, you could email them and ask them if they will be offering a corporate website and hosting service for their students, upon completion, aswell. (they are looking at potentially offering several different packages aimed at different budgets.)

at present they are offering cups, biz cards, flyers etc. but there is lots of potential and scope for other offers through them. plus it means that you would potentially have a professionally designed and maintained site with all of the appropriate logos etc.
