This isn't really an answer to your question because I don't actually know what's next for laser eye surgery, and this is still FAR off in the future, but I recall reading about "cybernetic" contact lenses which would eventually allow humans to have night- and far-range- viewing.  Theoretically, then, these kinds of technology could EVENTUALLY be implanted in the eye.  Considering that technology exists already to allow blind people to see, I definitely think this is all possible.

I Believe that you should consider researching reliable reference websites that provide information about surgeries and other medical procedures on search engines (like Google). They are used to dealing with questions like yours.

I looked on Google for some good examples for you and I ended up finding good references.

Here is one of them: http://www.surgery.com

Take wikipedia into consideration as well =)

I placed here one with doctor reviewed content, but you can surely find other pages with the same intent. I'm just trying to help, guiding you to the right place.

Hope it helps!

I agree with Allan. You can find nearly everything on Google. Visiting doctor reviewed content over the Net sounds a good idea.

I believe wikipedia has an interesting content (although it's totally user-built, but you should have a go at it). There are other specialized sites thereabout like http://www.surgery.com and many others.

Good look!
