Whats going on ?

I have these red swollen patches on my legs. looks like a huge mosquito bite initially, then swelling goes down but stays red and becomes itchy. If you scratch it sometimes the area will swell up again , sometimes not. went away for a few days then came back again, when it comes back its in the same spot. I thought it might be shingles but after I looked that up I see it isnt that.  Any suggestions ? I am baffled....Thanks

It might be a different kind of bite, like a spider. You could be allergic to whatever bit you. If it has only been a few days I wouldn't be super concerned. If it doesn't go away after a week you should go to your GP.

My daughter had what sounds like what you have. I forget the name of it, but it was water trapped between the tissue and the skin.  She had to get on a mini pack of predisone and fortuntaely it went away. They told her if it had not gone down, they were going to do a biosepy. You should really get this checked out by a doctor.

sorry for the delay, I didnt see your reply til now. well it has gone away but the red patches still remain.  They look like they will be permanent (which I hope not) they dont hurt though. I will definetly watch it.  Thanks for responding !

I have had this for 7 yrs.  It is a combination of dry skin and stress induced psoriasis.  I found that taking garlic tablets (builds immune system) and B complex vitamins (stress fighter) makes them DISAPPEAR in one day!!  Also a good non allergic moisturizer on patches helps. If I stop the garlic and B vitamins, even "one" day,..it comes right back...Goes to show you: we are what we eat and we have the natural remdies to cure anything right here at our disposal on earth.  Try these home remedies, otherwise the patches literally set up housekeeping forever!!!  Hope this helps.....
